Summer Challenge: Be Better Consumers!
Join me this summer in my efforts to be a better consumer:
Buy more locally grown food. Buy more organic items. Avoid genetically modified food. Prepare more responsible and healthy dishes. Get more involved in the food movement.
If you are a vegan, you are already making many good choices everyday about your food but there is so much more we all could be doing. Being a vegan doesn't necessarily mean we are doing all we can to be the most responsible and healthy eaters. We can improve ourselves and encourage the omnivores around us to do the same!
I've been a vegan for 7 years along with my sister, who is a gluten free vegan. I was a vegetarian for 18 years before veganism. I live in Los Angeles with an omnivore in a home full of rescued animals (cats, turtles and a frog).
